Sheila Thomas has written to say that, "The 132 bus to Cambridge is excellent and needs more advertising as it is not widely enough known. The City 7 is virtually unavailable as the bus stop is on a busy road with no path or shelter. Also shoppers can't carry bags up to a mile when alighting. There is much need for a service that operates on a regular basis through the village". Thank you Sheila. Certainly people cannot be encouraged out of their cars and on to buses when the stop is so bleak and far out of the village. Resolute Littlebury resident David Green, who has been pursuing decent bus services for Littlebury for many years, says "Firstly we have been attempting to get the CITI 7, at least for some journeys, routed via Littlebury village. Secondly it has been agreed with Essex CC that the Littlebury Turn stops must be improved. The plan is to site the Cambridge bound stop opposite the S/W stop and provide hard standing, a light and steps up to the pavement. The work is proposed to start in April, subject to finance being available.
